The sort selector was designed before Shopify offered a standard way to sort collections, the way that it works is it will create duplicate collections in different sort orders, and when the customer changes the sort order, the alternate collection is loaded in. This will mean that you will have duplicated collections for each sort order and each collection you want to be sortable through the app.
You can disable the app and remove the collections by following these steps:
1. In "Step 2" disable the option for "Enable alternate sort options processing"
2. In "Step 3" click on each sort order in the box on the right, to move it to the left box. This will disable all of the sort orders.
3. At the bottom of the page, click "Save" and then click "Repair collections"
This will initiate a job to save your changes and to remove the extra collections.
