Trending Analytics gives you a product-level view of shopper activity for Trending Sort.
It shows product views, add-to-cart events, add-to-cart rate, and current sort position, helping you understand which products are attracting attention and how they relate to your Trending Sort results.
Trending Analytics is available on the Trending Sort settings page.
What Trending Analytics tracks
Trending Analytics tracks:
Product views
Add-to-cart events
A product view is counted when a shopper views a tracked product.
An add-to-cart event is counted when a shopper adds a tracked product to their cart.
These events are used to help understand product interest and shopping behavior.
Date ranges
You can view analytics for:
Today so far
Last 7 days
Last 30 days
Use shorter ranges to check recent activity, or longer ranges to see broader trends.
Metrics shown
Trending Analytics includes several product-level metrics.
Views
The number of times a product was viewed during the selected date range.
ATC (Add to Cart)
The number of add-to-cart events for the product during the selected date range.
ATC Rate
The add-to-cart rate for the product.
This is calculated from add-to-cart events compared with product views. A higher ATC rate can indicate that shoppers who view the product are more likely to add it to cart.
Position
The product’s current position in the Trending Sort results.
This helps you compare shopper activity with the product’s current ranking.
Searching and sorting products
You can search the analytics table to find a specific product.
You can also sort the table by:

ATC Rate
This makes it easier to find your most-viewed products, products with strong add-to-cart activity, or products that are currently ranking highly.
Tagging a product as Featured
Trending Analytics can be used to add the “Featured” tag to a product.
This is useful when you want to feature certain products more prominently in your store. A "featured" product gains extra weighting in the Trending algorithm, so it moves up faster.
If the product already has the Featured tag, Power Tools will let you know.
Checking whether tracking is working
Trending Analytics can also help confirm that Trending Sort tracking is installed and receiving data.
If no data appears, check that the Trending Sort app embed or tracking code is installed and enabled on your theme.
For new installs, analytics may take some time to appear after shoppers begin viewing products and adding them to cart. We recommend waiting 24 hours after first installing the app.
